For private use (home), no declaration is required as long as the cameras only film your property. For shops and businesses, if cameras film a publicly accessible area, a prefectural authorisation is required. In all cases, you must inform people being filmed via GDPR-compliant signage. The maximum retention period is 30 days, in accordance with French regulations and GDPR. Beyond this, footage must be automatically deleted, unless legal proceedings are underway. We configure your recorder to automatically comply with this requirement.
Yes, all our outdoor cameras are equipped with infrared (IR) night vision. They provide clear visibility up to 30 metres in total darkness. Some models also feature ColorVu technology for colour images even at night.
